Launched in 2019, the Patek Philippe Calatrava Weekly Calendar 5212A-001 is a rare stainless steel entry in the Calatrava dress watch collection, traditionally known for its precious metal cases. This model debuted a novel complication for the brand — a weekly calendar that displays the current week number alongside the day and date. The 40mm stainless steel case, measuring 10.79mm in thickness, features a polished finish and distinctive two-tiered lugs, drawing inspiration from the vintage Ref. 2512.

The silvery opaline dial is characterized by its unique typography, based on the handwriting of one of Patek Philippe’s designers, lending a personal touch to the watch’s look. Five centrally mounted hands indicate the hours, minutes, seconds, day, and week number, while the date is displayed in an aperture at 3 o’clock. The day and week number indications are adjusted via two pushers on the case flank, and the date is set through the crown.

Inside the case is the self-winding Caliber 26-330 S C J SE, a movement developed specifically for the Calatrava Weekly Calendar watch. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), offers a power reserve of 35 to 45 hours, and, naturally, is visible via the sapphire crystal caseback.
