The popularity of the Rolex ref.126713GRNR, released in 2023, shows that two-tone watches are back in style. Its black and gray ceramic bezel insert contrasts nicely with the yellow gold center links of the Jubilee bracelet. The bidirectional rotatable bezel is also made of 18k yellow gold. The black lacquered dial features large, highly legible Chromalight-filled hour markers. The triangle-tipped hand indicates the “home” time zone on a 24-hour scale, and the regular hour hand is independently adjustable for easy time zone jumps.
The date window at 3 o’clock has the classic Cyclops, as expected. At the heart of the Rolex GMT-Master II is the self-winding caliber 3285 with a precision of -2/+2 sec/day. Although many cute Rolex nicknames have been attributed to this model (“Bumblebee,” “Zombie,” “Guinness” etc.) none have really stuck.
